The Autovilla, South Africa’s first production camper, was a hit the moment the first unit rolled out of the factory in 1974.
Jurgens designers came up with a VW Kombi-based motorhome almost 40 years ago by adding a Jurgens Caravan on top of the Kombi chassis. They called it the Autovilla, and an outdoor camper legend was born.
The Volkswagen that this vehicle is based on, is known as Bay Window Bus T2 and came with a 2.0L flat four air-cooled engine.
